The steps to the scientific method are observation, question, hypothesis, prediction, conclusion, results. To define the scientific method are as follows: Observation is a noticeable even that has been witnessed. Question is an attempt to explain the observation. The hypothesis is a statement made to predict the solution and the outcome. A prediction is based off of the hypotheses, which predicted outcome. This is an if-then statement that defines the test. The conclusion details the findings of testing. The result is basically the outcome of the experiment, basically because was the hypothesis is refuted or supported.

During the activity I used every step to solve the two problems presented during the activity. The first problem was the tomatoes wasn’t producing more tomatoes. The observation and question part of this activity was an already given. Next I was to come up with a hypothesis to what was causing the problem with the tomatoes. The prediction I choose was the soils needed to be dug up and switched out for new soil. The conclusion was there was more tomatoes. So the results are by switching the soil it there was more tomatoes produced.

In the next activity again the observation and question was a given. The hypothesis is the car isn’t starting because a fuse may need to change. The prediction was if the fuse is changed then the car will start. Conclusion was the car started. So the results are the fuse was changed so now the car is cranked and running.
