Abstract
The project for Riordan Manufacturing had a brief project description. The brief description left a lot of open doors for misunderstanding. To better understand the company we researched Riordan’s company through the virtual organizations link provided in the OLS. We evaluated current process within the organization. The evaluation provided us with Riordan’s methods of doing business. We discovered weaknesses the company currently has in place. With the findings we created a possible solution for Riordan to improve current processes. The findings within the organization provided the project team with improved opportune decisions and ideas for organizations that practice the same method of business. The project scope will be analyzed and used to improve project methods in the future. Having improved project methods future companies will be provided with options to better improve current tasks.
Executive Summary
The project is going to improve current processes within Riordan Manufacturing. We are going to be upgrading the current computer systems, servers, process, and data tracking. The project details will be addressed along with the process from start to finish. The total cost for the project is $750,000. The benefits of implementing the project will allow for real-time data tracking. The improved process will decrease paper tracking and improve accuracy with product orders and shipments. Having an improved system will allow the company to decrease errors that could occur on a daily basis. Decreased errors allow for unnecessary budget expenses that Riordan is incurring.
