The Perfect Race

“Under our feet were men crushed, trampled underfoot, dying. No one paid any attention” (Wiesel 84). These are the words of one of the surviving members of the Nazi’s attempt to exterminate the Jews from existence. Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazis, had a major influence on the thousands that died. Yet their deaths were still, just a minor part in a giant scheme to create the perfect human race.
Hitler had dreams that one day the planet earth would be free of inferior races. By inferior, he meant, any race that was against his views on the world. Throughout the early 1930’s, Hitler became a powerful member of the national socialist party. It is a party known today to be the Nazi party. The party’s beliefs were to make Germany more powerful, to eliminate communism, and secretly eradicate races. The party swiftly took over politics in Germany and along with it Hitler’s ideas started to become a reality. Right before World War Two Hitler emphasized, "When so many preach that we are entering the age of peace, I can only say, 'My dear fellows, you have badly interpreted the horoscope of the age, for it points not to peace, but to war as never before.'"(Murray). When the war finally began Hitler took full advantage of the war by secretly starting the concentration camps to kill the Jews. With a war going on, it was the perfect cover-up. Hitler secretly deemed this his war a within the war in his journal in 1938(Murray).
