Purpose Of The Report

The report will show the pros and cons of the four options which been presented to the VP and Division Manager of The International Machine and Tool—USA (IMT-USA) in the case study. Moreover the report will show the recommendation one of the four options. In the below are the four options which been presented:

1. Centralized computing environment of the current system

2. Distributed computing environment of the current system

3. Cloud computing environment of the current system.

4. Waiting and watching carefully the current system any develop in the system happen when the circumstances force the change.

Centralized computing environment of the current system

The first option is to centralize the workstation and other device of information technology in one location which will ceased all the distributed sources such as workstation in different location of the mainframe As show in diagram 1. Also the below pros and the cons of this solution:

Pros:

* Decreases the cost.

* High security.

* increase control of the system.

* High ability to develop with the change of the technology.

* Flexible to reengineer the system.

* 5 years to completed.

Cons:

* SPOF(single point of failure).

* High on the quality of administration.

* High resources provided to the users.
