IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL BBM 4TH YEAR STUDENTS

ATTACHMENT REPORT FORMAT

BBM 460: INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT

The industrial attachment report constitutes 70% of attachment evaluation. Students should

observe the following in preparing the report:

1). The report should be typed and of not more than 20 pages. The typography should be Times New Roman, Spacing (1½), Font 12 and Margins (1”)

2). The report should be properly outlined i.e. the report should have –

(i) Title page: First page should display: Student name and surname, attachment start and finish dates, number of attachment days, establishment name.

(ii) Table of Contents

(iii) Acknowledgments

(iv) A brief summary of the attachment and establishment: A one page summary of the establishment and a short account of the major activities carried out during the

attachment period. This section should answer the following questions:

* What is the full title of the establishment? Give a brief history of the company, full mailing address and relevant web links.

* What is the type of ownership of the institution? State the main shareholders and their shares.

* What is the sector that the establishment operates in? Specify the products and services produced and offered to its customers.

* Who are regarded as the customers of the establishment (consider the end users, retailers, other manufacturers, employees, etc.)?

(v) Body properly broken down into the following sub-headlines

a. Attachment Activities: Using information from your log-book, examine the value

of the activities undertaken in each of the departments that you worked. Indicate

whether the anticipated outcome was achieved and prescribe a way forward.

b. Evaluation: A personal evaluation of the industrial attachment itself. Include your view of the establishments systems, processes, procedures, rules & regulations
