I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Parkway Plus is a non for profit organization that will provide tutoring services for elementary students at Green Trails Elementary School, located in Chesterfield, Missouri. Parkway Plus will focus on assistance of daily homework, reading, writing and math. This service is primarily for children you do not receive services from Parkway School District for ‘gifted education’ or ‘remedial’ help.

We believe that Parkway Plus will succeed as classroom sizes are increasing. Parents are stressed as duel incomes are needed to provide for families. Children who struggle, and ‘gifted’ students are offered help. Often, children are not meeting their potential as they just need extra time. Students do not test bad enough to qualify for assistance and therefore, parents are left to find other solutions. Parkway Plus is that solution. Teachers are focused on the new curriculum and Common Core Standards. They do not have the ability to reach all those who would benefit from help. Parkway Plus will give the parents a safe place with a familiar environment that they can have their child reach their potential.

Parkway Plus will establish its focus on a small group of dedicated, carefully chosen and educated tutors. It will collaborate with the school district, student teachers, retired teachers, counselors, administration and parents to offer services for families who need a place, and the time to keep children succeeding.
