Business Communication Trends
As with every business, it is essential within my workplace to practice effective communication skills to maintain a successful and thriving reputation. As an owner/operator, communication is a necessity. Day-to-day activities such as analyzing daily observation reports for personnel and keeping an up-to-date tracking report of each employee’s status is also important. Without effective and accurate communication success would be uncertain. Business trends within my workplace include technology; focus on quality and customer needs, teamwork, diversity, and balancing work and family.
Technology
Technology in my daily activities include e-mails and social networking tools such as Windows communicator which is used to communicate with office and personnel about valuable information I may need to complete my daily activities. In my opinion, e-mail is invaluable to the workplace. I am able to e-mail documents, photos, presentations etc. instantly, allowing speedy resolution. An interesting trend within technology is that e-mail communications are open to employer reassessment and examination. In fact, employees do not have any right to secrecy in their e-mail systems or e-mails at a company so employers have full right to peruse them at any time. In effect, consequently, just as many businesses have ascertained that the quality of their communications needs to improve and many now realize that documents must be well written and have a specific format, their focus, instead of being on good communication is, instead, on careful communication.
