44 (Filipino Pride)

Many of us don’t have a good heart to be thankful of what they have. The insecurity is in their blood. Why do Filipinos fights each other? Even if their living in one country. So why it happened in the FALLEN 44?

On the first week of January, I was assigned to make some documentaries about the story behind the Special Action Force (SAF) including their lives especially there training. When I heard a dangerous mission that strike my attention that is to catch Jemaah Islamiyah terrorist of Zulkifli Abdhir, better known as "Marwan." I heard that they have two plans; The Oplan Wolverine and The Oplan Exodus.

Last January 24, 9 o’clock in the evening we rode on an elf truck that covered by corns, until we reached the Mamasapano Area. I was afraid and nervous because this is my first time. We walked, and swam on the torrent river until we reached the Barangay, where in Marwan were hiding. We also crawled in the corn plantation, so the enemies won’t see us. The target time of their mission is 3 o’clock in the morning but it’s already 4 o’clock in the morning and there only 14 of us. They decided to start the mission immediately because based on their source Marwan will go to church early in the morning. I can’t believe that two MILF help them to locate Marwan. Some of them silently walked to the house, when a booby trap explodes and all of them immediately died. Were all shocked about what happened, until we encounter the Moro Islamic Front (MILF), Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF), and some private armies. During the war all I could do is to pray for the safeness of everyone. The war is like raining but the difference is it’s the bullet is raining instead of water. They double kill the policemen, while some of them decided to hold the grenade, so it will be easy for them to kill the enemies. One of them is Senior Inspector Max Jim Tria he is short but brave like a tiger. He holds two grenades and he is the last man standing. I also witness how the enemies...
