Our company Party Plates is continuing to grow and we need to open our options to ways of improving our information system. We have been using excel within our sales department and now Is the time we look towards switching to Access. In order for our company to become more successful we must explore the technologies and systems that are available to us, and we will have the ability to improve internal communications and develop many different ways to streamline within our sales department. The information and systems are available to us an now is the time we take advantage.

.Microsoft Access provides our employees the ability to pull information at greater and more efficient ways that surpasses the services Excel can provide. Our employees and customers are our top priority and keeping their personal information is vital. By switching to Microsoft Access we unlock the capability to store and secure personal information, make changes and have multiple modifications updated with accurate details immediately.

By converting all our data that is currently held in spreadsheets in Microsoft excel, into databases in Microsoft access, we can guarantee that while entering, editing, and updating data into the database, all of our work will be automatically saved into our systems hardware. This will prove pleasant in our company, for it will guarantee the safety of our information, which we will need to process orders, payments, clients history, and employee information. By switching to Microsoft access, our companies’ employees can work in the same file at the same time. For instance, if an employee is asked to check the times a customer ordered a certain item, and another employee was to check on information in the same file, instead of waiting for the other person to finish and save, both employees will have access to the same file at the same time.
