CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

The enrolment system was a good example for computer generated process. Using this system would lessen the workload of the school and provide accurate information that was needed. The result would benefit the students and the school administration. It was composed of a manual system.

Cuta Elementary School was founded on 1958. There were only three teachers at that time when they first operated. They were Mrs. Maria P. Aguila as the head teacher in fourth grade, Mrs. Remedios A. Ramos for second and third grade and Mrs. Macaria E. Berberabe teaching the first grade. The reason why the founders built the school was to lessen the accidents involving students that were enrolled in Batangas South Elementary School.

The man who was responsible for building this institution was Atty. Pablo R. Aguila, with the participation of Sangguniang Barangay.

The central school was located on a one hectare lot in Brgy. Cuta Batangas City, donated by Julian A. Pastor, a civic-spirited who came from an illustrious clan of families from Batangas City. As a debt of gratitude, the school was named after Mr. Pastor. Julian A. Pastor Memorial Elementary School coined as JAPMES was one of the prestigious Central schools in Division of Batangas City, which continuously supported the DepEd programs and projects for the desired quality education.

JAPMES VISION STATEMENT:

We dream of Filipinos who passionately love their country and whose competencies and values enable them to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to building the nation.

As a learner-centered public institution, the department of education continuously improves itself to a better serve its stakeholders.
