Abstract
You will be faced with a number of various needs and challenges in school in the ever changing world of education. Leaders must be able to adapt and adjust to the number of situations that they might encounter, and they must be able to provide methods for their students and school to be successful. I will discuss the school that I am employed at, the environmental/contextual factors and community needs of the school. I will also discuss how these various factors are in relation to my school and how they work in a positive and negative way. There are also methods and way in which there can be a positive level of progress and academic achievement.

My teaching experience
My school is located in the northern part of Tyler, Texas. It is a title I elementary school, which homes approximately 400 students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. There are 3 teachers on each grade level, and we also have the addition of a music, physical education, and art teacher. The average class size is 15 students, and we do have bilingual classrooms. Now based on the research in various geographical communities, the need of students in one area of a city can be and are distinct from another area of the city (Mujs & Reynolds, 2003; Rice, 2003; Taylor, Martin, & Fix, 1998). In my school district in Tyler Independent School District, there are schools that are located in different areas in the city. Students that live in more financially stable areas are different than ones who live in economically challenged areas.
