The Problem and It’s Background

The world has changed after the “Internet” was introduced in the 80’s. Since the time internet came into being; information gathering has never been easy. Nowadays, we can get all information that we need with just one snap of the finger, social life of every individual became faster just like the communication that can reach every hands of every people anywhere around the world.

Cybercrime is one of the words frequently used by individuals in our contemporary society. To understand the true meaning of cybercrime, there is the need to understand the slit meaning of Cybercrime. The term “Cyber” is a prefix used to describe an idea as part of the computer and information age and “Crime” can be described as any activity that contravenes legal procedure mostly performed by individuals with a criminal motive.

Rapid growth of the Internet can give people more information with only the use of your handset and internet people are good to go. However, with this also comes the development of crimes. Nowadays, people also need to deal with crimes done through the use of computer and internet as well. This kind of crime is more known as cybercrime. Many people use internet for their own purposes, without awareness of cybercrimes, or knowledge of cyber law, and easily become victims of cybercrime. People ranging anywhere from teenagers to adults most especially the youths are engage with this, they make cybercrime the most threatening crime, just the term “hacking” can create an instant hacker. Scamming are also done now through the use of internet, for example many websites are created and requiring pin numbers or codes to access accounts of the people who gives their trust without knowing the risk of getting scammed. And the one’s that is alarming is that most of this crimes through the internet are done by teenagers or youths, because they are more exposed to the new generation and also acquiring new knowledge about the...
