Rizal sa Dapitan

(A Movie Analysis)

A man of goodness, a great person of the History, an admired personality of his time until now, that’s Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

Dr. Jose P. Rizal is known to us as our national hero because of the character he possesses. Also with his contribution from awakening the mind of the Filipino with his Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. But one exciting part in his life was when he was in Dapitan.

Last December 02, 2010, we’ve watched the life of Rizal when he was in Dapitan, a beautiful place in Mindanao. That was been acted by a prominent actor of the Philippine movie industry, Mr. Albert Martinez. The movie was with his exile under the command of Captain General Despujol. And this revolves in the loves story of Rizal and Josephine Bracken. While he was in Dapitan…in the movie he was describes as…

Rizal as Man of Character

Rizal remains of what his parents told them, a simple man with simple outlook in life. His love for his family was with him upon his request a visit to the general that become his friend. He is a man of character with dignity and pride. He is friendly and really hospitable, that’s what a Filipino was describes for. Because of this he was admired by the people of Dapitan besides of bad treatment he had from the friars and guardia civil. He remains as Rizal, Rizal with pure good heart that loves his countrymen.

With this, the movie reminds of something that as a Filipino we must possess and continue of the goodness in us. That we should love our families for it is the only thing we valued most, a family that always there for us even in our sadness and sorrows. That we should raised our banner high as Filipino citizen of the Philippines. Love our community, the country as a whole.

And with all of this, Rizal was been admired of what ideals, principles and doctrines he shared for. As an...
