From two guys in a bar all the way up to high ranking government officials Tea Partying is an age old movement that started in Boston Harbor during 1773 to protest the way our government is running things. Now, these meetings are being held in restaurants, living rooms, libraries, and online for the people to rally together to fight against subjects like health care and high taxes. The Tea Party movement is an expression of the serious discontent unsettling the country. Two –Thirds of Americans are unsatisfied or even angry with the government which is among the highest levels on record. Having a bad economy, unemployment through the roof, and federal debt in the trillions outrage was inevitable. Tea Partying is sending waves through our entire Government structure causing congressional retirements and a possible hold on health care reform till next year. Therefore the Senate and House are blaming each other then both pointing at the White House. The last section of this story is “The Three Flavors of Tea” which are the three different kinds of Tea Party groups. The first being a rejection of the progressive philosophy (believing the government is trying centralize power), the second is conspiracy theorists and nativists, and the third is a older thinking method of the people who have the familiar feel of politics in the early 1990’s during the Ross Perot movement.

I believe that the Tea Party movements can be extremely good and very bad at the same time. Good because it enables people to actually voice they’re opinions when issues are really serious enough they affect the way you and I live on a day to day basis. Bad because when it comes to voting there could be another Third Party Candidate in the run...
