The name of the game is “Heads Up Seven Up”.

How you play: choose seven players to be it and those players go to the front. Everyone who is still sitting at their desk will put their head down. Those who are it will walk around the classroom and pick a person by tapping them on their head. Once the person is selected, they will put their hand up to indicate that they’ve been picked. There is no peeking allowed and the selected classmate must keep their head down and their arm up until the 7 are completely done and tell the people with their heads down they can get up. People tend to look at others shoes as you walk by them so they also must have to keep their eyes covered. Those who are “it” return to the front and those who got selected by the 7 at the front stand up, say something interesting about their self and guess who chose them. This gives students an opportunity to come out of their shell and allow other students to learn a little about each other. Everyone at the front will be keeping their name card so they can easily be identified. After the guesses occur and we go through 5 games giving everyone a turn to be “it”, the team of 7 who was guessed the least win the game.

As this is generally a get to know you game/ is student driven. This is a major benefit for us learning something interesting about each other as the course itself is based off of Interpersonal Skills. Communication is driven more effectively when people can openly communicate with...
