During the course of the ethical lens inventory, I’ve learned quite a bit about myself and how others possibly are. I learned that my lenses are evenly split between the “Relationship” and “Reputation” lens. The inventory stated that I balance rationality and sensibility – I agree with those results. I’m always determined to make sure that everything that I come across is fair and within reason.

With many strengths, comes many weaknesses. My weakness to being rational and sensible, are that I have a vice to becoming overly ambitious to certain ideas that my need to be fair will be overlooked. Also, instead of being fair and sensible, my other weakness is the possibility of being to authoritative to peers and that will be a downfall on my part. My strengths will surpass my weaknesses – to go along with being fair, I learned that I have the “justice for all” requirement and compassion for others to make sure they are all treated fairly. In addition to my strengths and weaknesses, is my blind spot that can hinder me from going further. According to my ethical lens inventory, it stated that I was “overconfidence in process” or have “unrealistic role expectations”. I agree with that conclusion, I put too much emphasis in making sure all is fair, that in the long run, I can possibly be too trusting in any situation.

Overall, the values I hold as a person will assist me in the lenses that I measure up to. I know that I will always be fair and sensible, but then know that common sense will come into play with other lenses and individuals.
