  He uses many fallacies to get his point across like "I made no campaign promises." he knew he was in the lead from the beginning but chose not to make campaign slogans that would hurt him in the future. He also knew that his rival Jim Getty was trying to run him through the mud but with nothing to contradict him on he did not have anything bad to say. There for by not making promises he was let making the public as well as his rival wondering what he truly stood for.

     He makes a lot of rhetorical remarks toward his counterpart as in he blames him for what is wrong with the state as well as government as we know it. He stated that Jim was the reason why the world is in chaos and dismay. He also says that when he is elected he will right the wrongs that have befallen the poor and sick. He will change the way the working man is treated. He will also see that his rival is put on trial for the wrong leadership of the state to that point.

     He seemed to avoid arguments and dance around subjects that the public did not want to talk about. He did not want to take a stand on any issue so that way he is never seen as going back on his campaign promise. That is why he never set any promises so he does not have to follow through with them.

     He uses ad hominem, He seems to attack the person instead of what he should of done was take a stand on the issues at hand and pointed out what he would of done differentially. By attacking Jim Getty he was putting himself on the same platform as some one who has no interaction of fulfilling any of his campaign promises.

     Argument from omnisciene where he tell the audience exactly what they want like he use to be one of them and grew up just like each and every one of them did.

   Argumentum ad ignorantiam  he misleads the audience into believing that he did not have a chance of wining when he started. Even thought he knew that he had just as much if not more of a chance then Jim Getty did.
