Riordan Manufacturing Corporate Compliance Plan

In this compliance plan I will be discussing different ways for Riordan Manufacturing to build a stronger company and address some legal issues the company is having, how they can fix them, and what they can do to prevent them. My main focus will be on ways for the company to protect their tangible and intellectual property, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), international law, legal forms of business, and product liability. I will also be discussing regulations the employees must follow and what the employees should do if laws are being broken within the company. Addressing these main areas in this compliance plan will put this company back in the right direction and help the company understand ways to deal with these specific situations.

Alternative Dispute Resolution:

Riordan Manufacturing is a fortune 1000 institution with over a $46 million dollars each year in revenue, and employs over 550 employees within its companies. This company manufacturers plastic beverage containers and plastic fan parts. Its main customer base includes: aircraft and appliance manufactures, beverage makers, and the Department of Defense. Riordan Manufacturing provides it services across the country and throughout the world.

I have provided this information above to arrive at a clear understanding of how much production this company does and the amount of legal issues that can arise because of the large amount of customers they provide services for. No matter what type of company it is, legal issues will arise when dealing with the manufacturing and distribution of products. Whether the problem be that the customer is unsatisfied with the product, or it was not delivered in a timely manner and in turn caused the company to lose money, legal problems will occur.
