Impact of Organizational Culture and Employer Branding on Intrinsic Motivation of employees

ABSTRACT: This review talks about the relationship between organizational culture and employer brand and how they affect the intrinsic motivation of employees with the help of various theories and industry related examples. It also talks about the managerial implications on these three variables at the end. The results established that organizational culture is a statistically significant predictor of intrinsic motivation whereas employer brand is the mediating variable.

Introduction
Very simply, a variable is a measurable characteristic that varies. It may change from group to group, person to person, or even within one person over time.
A dependent variable is defined as the presumed effect in an experimental study. The values of the dependent variable depend upon another variable, the independent variable. Strictly speaking, “dependent variable” should not be used when writing about non-experimental designs.
Independent variable, on the other hand, is defined as the presumed cause in an experimental study. All other variables that may impact the dependent variable are controlled. The values of the independent variable are under experimenter control. Strictly speaking, “independent variable” should not be used when writing about non-experimental designs.
Mediating variable is a synonym for intervening variable. Example: Parents transmit their social status to their children directly, but they also do so indirectly, through education: viz. Parent’s status ➛ child’s education ➛ child’s status
