Introduction

Honda Motor is the first Japanese automobile manufacturer. Nowadays, it is one of the biggest manufacturers of vehicles, motorcycle and power-equipment in the world. Therefore, it is undoubtedly true that Honda must have significant influence to the society, technology and environment in the world. The most imperative elements in their product are safe, quality and being social responsible. (Shigeru 2003) In the operation, Honda is confronted various claims about economic, social and environment from stakeholders. (Reinhard et al. 2005, 263) Nowadays, the community is more concern about environment issue, pollution especially. It is because it will affect health directly. (Egondi et al. 2013, 4852) But, there must have inevasible negative impact to the society when they are producing and selling products. For example, effect to the environment. (Company responsibility-statement 2013) Therefore, it must take some actions to improve their performance and response to them. In this paper, it will analyze the operation about Honda on environment aspects. Furthermore, it will focus on force of environmental protection and their products –Hybrid car’s battery. It expounds the strengths and weaknesses that may influence to stakeholders and the environment.

When the trend of the community is aware and care about valuable environment, automobile industry is more emphasize and focusing on hybrid car development in the world. Honda is no exception. While everyone is looking at this technique can improve and help the environment externally, another serious problem is derived from Lithium-ion batteries.
