CHAPTER I Introduction and Background of the Study

Introduction Technology has been a part of our daily life. It continues to advance and become more accessible to everyone. Finding a way to use it effectively and maximizing its capacity can improve and make important task easier such as school registration. The registration system is very essential process in every college and universities. It is a procedure that every student must undergo to become officially enrolled in the desired course. By using technology we can make the registration easier, fast and efficient. Unfortunately, Online Registration in every school and universities had always been a tiring process for the school administrators every enrollment period. In this study we want to determine the how online registration can benefit ICCT Colleges Foundation Inc. Background of the Study Online registration has been around in various forms. During the early period, only a few adventurous directors embraced the process and end with very mixed result. The early systems were often insecure, unreliable or cumbersome to setup and manage. There are some cases that had disastrous experiences during these early days, including the loss of partial or complete registration databases. Over years layers of security have been added, backup procedures implemented as standard, and setup procedures and have improve considerably.
