Abstract

The human resources department in any organization is normally the nucleus of the company. Human resources management will take such a stake in the 21st century advances that it may even be unheard as of yet. The management section will take a traditional mindset and move them into strategic thinking, planning and functioning. To foster leadership within any organization it has to start at the top and it has to be successful throughout. Adapting to this change is not easy but it can be done. The advances management will take will be huge but they will definitely advance the business.

What’s the Future For Human Resources

The 21st century is moving fast and moving swift when you consider the new technologies as well as the up and coming demographic of people that are out there looking for employment. Human resources management has evolved so much over the past two decades and it is not going to stop anytime soon. The major transformations that are taking place are primarily within internal and external forces.

When you think of human resource management you have to take into account the selection, attraction, retention, motivation, utilization and rewards for your employees. To fully appreciate where the human resources management movement is going you have to see where it came from. In the 1970s you found that mostly human resource management was just a position that was filled by someone who could not function in the operational management function. This was a way to hire them in the position of helping out individuals rather than be the boss. This position in management was only expected to keep the personnel files in order. It is actually considered to be easier than the other management positions within the company. There was no real management in this position as well. They really only were expected to keep track of applications that were submitted for jobs within the organization, ensuring they filed employees paperwork as doctors notes...
