Final compare & contrast

As a child I grew up in two very different homes. As a younger child I grew up in a city called Port St. Lucie. Now I live in a small county called liberty county. As I grow older I realize the living in the middle of nowhere has its perks. However; each place I have lived has been very peculiar.

As a little girl I was raised in Port St. Lucie. I never stepped foot into a church unless if two “love birds” were getting married which didn’t happen often. Most people are rude to each other and no one knew who Christ our father is. It’s a bit of a tragedy if you ask me. I moved to Bristol, Florida when I was thirteen years old. I felt like I moved to another planet. On Sunday the whole town shuts down, for church. That upcoming Sunday my family went to a small Baptist church. My first lesson from God was wonderful. I enjoyed the joyful music that flowed from the choir. After worship everyone spilt up into small group. Small group is where people my age get together in one room to go deeper into God’s word. On Sunday in the city people would go to the mall and spend the day shopping or go to the beach and spend the day with their toes in the sand. They wouldn’t think twice about going to church. Church is just one of the better things about my move to Bristol.

In my little small town we have one traffic light and a sit down diner. In the short time I have lived in a small town I have noticed that in order to do something I would have to travel an hour or more away. For example, if I were to go see a movie I would have to travel all the way to Tallahassee or Panama City. With this in mind it seemed more convenient to reside in the city. I never had to travel far for the things I need like health care. For instance, I am a diabetic. Living in Bristol I have to drive 45 minutes to get the prescriptions that I need. However; living in Port St. Lucie it is more convenient to drive a couple miles to...
