Solar Technology versus Oil Drilling

After sitting here and thinking about the topic of discussion, it is hard to choose a side. Barak Obama has good intentions I think with solar technology and clean coal. As well, the opposing view brings up the issue of cost and wonders how necessary it is. Well, I am just about confused as anyone else. I think solar technology is such a wonderful idea, but how much is that going to cost us in the long run? And is there really anything such as clean coal? What is holding me back from making such a small decision, I really have no effect on? The main habit that is hindering my thinking is the mine is better habit. Most of us know that as; well my brother is stronger than yours. Relating it to such topic of solar technology and clean coal versus drilling for oil is easy. Which is better? Well, solar technology is better than causing oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico. Solar power does not release carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide or mercury into the atmosphere (earth911.com). It does not burn fuel and generates no emissions. Then we get to talking about the big money issue. Well, after the initial investment, since we will be using less energy (Garris, Leah B. Yet, the best part is Fossil fuels such as coal; oil and natural gas are non-renewable and dwindling. Solar energy will never run out. Here is where I run into the biggest issue, clean coal.
