Google does this by having a set of core values or credo. Google has ten core values it is based on. When you read what the values are, they are all based around the employees and how they can be successful and in turn make the company successful. The very first value stated is, we want to work with great people. Google wants everyone to be at their best and have everyone work together. “Our commitment to innovation depends on everyone being comfortable sharing ideas and opinions. Every employee is a hands-on contributor, and everyone wears several hats” (Google Culture, 2010). Google’s culture exhibits people orientation as well as group orientation. This is taken to the extent to where Google exhibits a small group culture. The group gets to take management thoughts and outcomes and they get to show each of their ideas. The organizations culture is to have fun at work while challenging each and every individual to strive for excellence. The organizations culture has determined what the environment will be.
