Is it acceptable to market a product with a known defect, if financial benefits exceed costs? Is it acceptable to market a product with a known defect, if financial benefits exceed costs?

I believe as many of you that is unethical and not acceptable to market a product with a known defect, even when the financial benefit exceed cost.

It would be perfect if manufactures out there in the market would think like we do. But in many occasions we have to think about the many things that we have bought and end up a totally waist of money or a complete failure. There are many product and companies that sell products with defects, not all of them, but some of them are very eloquent in their inappropriate intentions by trying to imitate or plagiarism existing products, of course offering them a much affordable price. We know what to expect from those imitations, but we still get them.

But not always imitations or cheap products are the ones on the target, we can go from very affordable products like nail polishers, kitchen appliances, cloth that you can only wear once, tools that break when you try to install batteries to a watch, toys that just looking at them breaks, and to more expensive like phones, printers, computers, automobiles.

In other cases the small font in the back of the document mentions that no warranty for defects from factory. The question is: do they know the product has an issue?

This is as far as products, but what about the people that print business cars offering their services as this and that and after you hire them, you pay them; things are not like what you were told. At the time of claiming they simply don’t come back, you have to fill out 100 forms to see who gill give up first if the firm or you, of they simple tell you at front that it is what it is.

In conclusion, many times we are aware but we keep the hope that this time will be different, that is what keeps those dishonest companies alive. It is not acceptable by any...
