What in your view are the current issues facing professional services?

Due to the economic turmoil happening around the globe, most people have turned away from professional bodies to provide services and consultation for their business. They either lost trust in them or the services are just another burden to their business and the only way to cut down expenses is to forego professional services that were being hired for their business. Clearly the important issue that has to be address is how the professional bodies will deal with this kind of dilemma. Since there are so many other firms which offer the same services, it would be hard to capture the hearts of the community to use their services. A good tagline or promising offers with no contents are not the ways to go about it. Customers these days seek for accessibility to information. Meaning, a firm has to be able to provide the content that is demanded by its customers in a split of second, not literally of course. But in a way that the customers do not have to go through any problems acquiring the information they want. In this modern era, blackberry and iphone can be seen in almost everyone’s palms. Besides that, being too ambitious would do no good, without a vision. A firm has to have objectives and targets in what it wants to achieve, because this will make the services become top-notch as they have goals to accomplish.
