Jesus and Mohammed Paper

Jesus Christ and Mohammed were different in some ways, but they both love their people. Teaching those whom what to learn about God and how they can get into heaven. They both sent different messages, “Jesus taught love and grace; Mohammad taught submission and rules and also that we must attain salvation”. ("Comparative Religion: Differences between Muhammad and Jesus", n.d., p. 1)

Jesus Christ

Jesus was born by the Holy Spirit from his mother’s womb; he started his teachings at a very young age. There was very little about Jesus childhood within the Bible. Jesus parents were going to Jerusalem for the Passover when he was twelve years of age. When they were leaving they notice that their son Jesus was missing for the caravan. Later on they found him at the temple listening to the teachers, and they were so amazed that he really understood on what the Scholars and Rabbis were saying and asking questions. When the mother found the child she said “Child, why have you treated us so? Behold your father and I have been looking for you in anguish.” Luke 2:48 (Centenary Translation of the New Testament) Then he said “Why is it that you have been looking for me, did you not realize that I had to be in my Father’s house?” Luke 2:49 (Centenary Translation of the New Testament) This is when Jesus Christ was growing up and doing what his Father in Heaven wanted him to do and Jesus began his public ministry.

Jesus knew that he had to be baptized and when John the Baptist baptized Jesus “ the heaven opened, and the Holy Spirit form like a dove, descended upon him, and a voice came from heaven, saying Thou art my Son dearly beloved; in thee is my delight.” Luke 3:22 (Centenary Translation of the New Testament) Jesus also chooses his twelve apostles Simon or Peter, James, John the...
