Club IT is a hot new dance club owned by Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada; both are 2005 Business Administration graduates. Being college business graduates, Ruben and Lisa know the importance of keeping current with the latest technology and employing an information technology (IT) department to manage costs and effects. One of the main objectives of the IT department is to gain a competitive advantage by using customer orientation to boost revenue by understanding customer wants and needs. Employee satisfaction is also important because employees who like their jobs will resonate well with customers.

Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada recently renovated their 6,000 square foot club to include 600 square feet of dance floor, a bar with four pourstations, a small kitchen for appetizers and short orders, and seating for up to 220 guests (Wiley Higher Education, 2007). During this renovation, Ruben and Lisa also installed high energy lighting to the high ceilings to create a high energy, fun environment for their clients.

Clients of Club IT include anyone that enjoys dancing, relaxing, music, and good entertainment. To relate to a large group of men and women, Club IT has different musical featured acts including open mike nights in April and Jazz nights in November. The main dance music of Club IT is Hip-Hop, Techno, and Electronica. Ruben and Lisa have constructed a mission statement that they believe completely embodies the emotion behind Club IT, “We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ's, dance space and refreshments that suit your lifestyle. You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT."
