In the dynamics of today’s work places many organizations encourage change to improve the working environment and to increase production. At Disc Farm when these changes are introduced there is either a positive or negative reaction with employees. The study of organizational behavior, organizational culture, communication, and diversity must all be analyzed in order for Disc Farm to make informed decisions on effective strategy implementation. Before these concepts and terminologies can be analyzed they must first be defined and observable aspects described.

Organizational behavior is defined as “the study of individual and groups in organizations” (Schermerhorn, Hunt, & Osborn, 2008, p. 3 pp. 2). At Disc Farm one will find many personalities, races, religions, ages, and genders. Each of these differences will cause employees to act, talk, and think differently but how these differences work together, relate to each other, and have conflicts together; this is what organizational behavior is all about. At Disc Farm the success of the business is the direct result of good organizational behavior. Employees work well collectively and on their own, each has respect for the other people within the company, and the acceptance of change and growth is welcomed.

Organizational culture is another aspect of an organization that must be considered.

Some of the observable aspects of organizational culture are stories, rites, rituals, and symbols. Disc Farm is filled with stories of how the business grew from a small distributor to a large manufacture. Of course the trials and tribulations between the successes have been omitted, only the happy success story has remained.
