My ethical profile is most aligned with obligation and least aligned with equity according to the he Williams Institute Awareness inventory. I see a lot of my traits in the obligation model. I do view situations as right or wrong and feel everyone has a moral obligation to do the right thing. The fact that I am least aligned with equity makes sense as the equity style holds the belief that there is no absolute right or wrong. In my world there is no gray! You have a choice of what you do and how you act. Each individual has to take responsibility for their own actions. I also believe that everyone is entitled to respect and I practice “do onto others as you would have them do onto you.” To me this is just the right and moral way to do things.

After review of my profile I reflected on my personal values. The values I hold dearest are honesty, respect, responsible and dependable. I consider myself a person of high integrity. According to Yukl (2006, para. 19), the definition of integrity is honesty and consistency between ones values and behaviors. You can’t just talk about values; you have to incorporate them into your everyday life, your very being. Your actions should reflect your values.

In examining Kudler Fine Food, they offer the highest quality of foodstuff, lots of choices and unparalleled customer service. These values are part of their mission statement, “to provide our customers the finest in selected foodstuffs, wines and related needs in an unparalleled consumer environment.” Kudler Fine Foods deals mostly in perishable products and to ensure quality, Kudler’s purchases on a weekly basis and old product is rotated out. If they do not have what you are looking for they will order it. Kudler’s is all about quality and customer service. The managers and staff at Kudler’s are imperative to the success of the store.
