Buddhism: Siddhartha Gautama: “An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.” This quotation best describe Siddhartha Gautama because when he saw the sick man, the poor man, the corpse instead of him seating back thinking about what he can do to help them he decide to leave his family and go out into the world and experience what they each had or were experiencing. Which would gave him a much better understanding and idea of how the poor and sick lived and the suffering that they were going through. Because it actually experience their pain and suffering it made him more understanding and compassionate about their situation which helped him to be more equipped on how to help them improve their lives for the better.

Confucianism: Confucious: “I am not one who was born in the possession of knowledge; I am one who is fond of antiquity, and earnest in seeking it there.” This quotation best describe Confucious because he believed that he can always learn something from everyone that he speaks with.

Mencius: “We live, not as we wish to, but as we can.” This quote fits more of Mencius because he believed that if people were able to follow their feelings that they would be able to do better. He also believes that people should live according to their means and not so much as to their dreams.

Taoism: Lao Tzu: “A clear mind comes from the wonderful fundamental essence given us by nature and is not a personal possession. Impartiality beyond any specific culture fosters clarity and deeper seeing. It is not hard to produce wisdom…what is hard is to have wisdom not interrupted.” This particular quote best suit Taoism Lao Tzu because it think more logically and of a more realistic view point.
