One day in Beijing

Last 1st Aug, I had a wonderful trip in Beijing. As the capital of our country, I want to go there for a long time, from I know it.

In the morning, I started off from my friend’s home in Tianjin. Unfortunately, I woke up late. When I was ready to go out, I couldn’t get the Multiple Unit Trains on time. But I didn’t give up, went to the station still. What I thought was I could take another train. To my surprise, I didn’t buy another ticket. I used the overdue ticket to get the train and nobody to check it. You know, the Olympic Games would be holding one week later, thousands of police were checking the passengers who went to Beijing. How fortunately I was!

If you don’t go to the Great Wall, you won’t become a hero. After arrived the station, I took the bus immediately. After two hours the Great Wall appeared before my eyes. She was so wonderful that I couldn’t help cheering. At once we started towards the top. I was very glad to be a hero in the end. How great the Great Wall is! We were proud of the Great Wall and the people who had built it.

After lunch, I stared up to the next stop: Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City (“Gugong”). When the bus crossed through the city, I saw lots of new buildings being built here and there. Beijing was changing a lot every day, became more modernize, clean and enlightened.

Here’s how I maximize the visit: 1) Go to Tiananmen. 2) Walk underneath Changan Boulevard to Mao’s picture. 3) Keep walking north to the beginning of the Forbidden City. 4) Pay and go visit the Forbidden City. 5) Exit the Forbidden City’s north gate and cross the street, just to the left is an underground cross way.

In the evening, I saw the function of falling the national flag. I had seen it many times at the TV, but the first time in firsthand. As a Chinese, I was so proud for my country.
