MANIFESTO DELIVERED BY AKOLATSE YOUNG SARAH, AN ASPIRING FOR HOUSE TWO (2) PREFECT

FOR THE 2015/2016 ACADAMIC YEAR

The principal, tutors present, Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Outgoing Executives of the Students ’Representative Council, Fellow Aspirants, Ladies and Gentlemen, Colleagues of the most Noble Profession.

Improvements have been there for all to see in recent years, in the shape of better facilities and improvements made at the houses. However due to certain factors including time, it has reached the point where mantles should be laid down and handed over to new set of competent people to continue the good work that has already been started by our great current executives of the SRC. This calls for my intention to stand before this general assembly and present my visions to the SRC and the general student body for 2015/16 academic year when voted to power.

My name is Akolatse Young Sarah, a second year student of this well-established institution offering general nursing and an aspirant for the position of the house two (2) prefect. I am before you today, to solicit to your vote for the enviable position of a house two prefect for the 2015/2016 academic year. Colleagues, my reasons for vying for this position are very tangible and varied. At the outset, I would to congratulate the current executives of the SRC for their hard work, and determination in ensuring the success of this institution and would like to say more grease to their elbows.

Mr. Chairman, to start with, I am aspiring to become the prefect of house two because of my laid down policies to ensure discipline at house. Indiscipline has been one of the major issues troubling the leadership of this institution at various houses. If I am voted to power, I will ensure that disturbing behaviours of students which include students throwing water into de drain, that is, the gutter before the house is curbed by providing them with easy to access drainage whereby all liquid waste can be...
