Graduate Assistant

I am writing to apply for Graduate Assistant position for the year 2015-16 as part of PES IUP MBA Programme. I would like to take this opportunity to work with the students and faculty to co-ordinate any management work and also organizing events for the college.

Back in college I was an active member of the Commerce Forum which conducted many inter class competition for the students (eg: Business Quiz, Product Launch, Ice Breakers & Exhibition) which helped me to connect with the students and conducts these shows in timely fashion. Due to successful completion of the Commerce Forum activities, I was chosen by my Placement Officer to handle all the events for the companies visiting college. (i,e. Plan Schedule, Communicate information to students) . The exposure given by my teachers helped in gaining Leadership qualities and Communication Effectiveness.

Later I was placed at Goldman Sachs, which I would define as one of the most important phase of my life. It was great learning experience and first step towards corporate environment. Client Focus, Diversity & Inclusion, Culture & Values and Functional Effectiveness were the Key takeaways for me. I would like to imbibe all the experiences gained at Goldman Sachs in last 3 years and continue this to the graduate assistantship. In addition to the above, I would like to highlight the Networking skills which proved an asset in my journey. This helped me in getting work done effectively & connect with people across regions/teams. These skills would help me bridge the gap between students & faculty and work in cohesive environment. Also I was nominated as the captain for the Community Team Works (CTW) an initiative by Goldman to help the NGO/Underprivielged. (Co-ordinate with team of 15 members and spend the entire day with them)
