ABSTRACT

The aim of this paper is to analyze the economical developments with the GAP project in the Southeastern Anatolia. Economics is the most important component of today's world. Countries set policies according to economical benefits. Also stable economics is a vital consideration for sustainable development. In the light of these above, this paper tries to evaluate the economical impacts of the GAP to Turkey. Paper also provides a broad information about the GAP project. It identifies the main characteristics of the project. Moreover, paper gives information about current economical structure of the region and some comparisons of the economics of Turkey and the GAP. Finally, paper concludes with recommendations and critiques of the project.
