Ambulatory Physical Therapy
Outpatient services are popular and can assist physicians in the crucial goal of delivering quality care and producing a profit for their efforts. Now more than ever, physicians are incorporating various outpatient services such as physical therapy into their practices for additional income. Before a physician becomes involved in any related business, a careful analysis must be performed to determine the opportunity for a profitable investment. Data collected through market analysis should justify the worthiness of the investment (Reves, 2001). This process also occurs on a larger scale in the outpatient centers. Physician Care Services has collected data through a marketing analysis involving the target population, and the health care organization’s finances and cost control. The market analysis assists the organization’s leaders in coming to an agreement and justifying their reasons for not providing physical therapy services in any of their facilities (Berkowitz, 2006).
Physician Care Services has two locations known as Alpha and Beta center. Alpha is located between Middleboro, population of 47364, and Mifflenville, population of 10952. Beta is located in Jasper near a proposed highway, with a population of 46902. The population is small in the area surrounding these locations. Residents are spread throughout small towns.
