Corporate Applications: Mobile Application for Chase Employees for Pay and Benefits

Business Problem Statement:

Employees are not able to access employee records outside of work using mobile devices. The course paper will describe how employees would like to see a developed mobile application and how it can be used for access to payroll or W2’s, benefit plan information, employee discount programs, and even request time off. Managers will also have the ability to approve timesheets, review org charts, and access employee’s workers profile from a tablet.

Brief Description of Proposed Solution:

I will propose a new mobile application for employees to review payroll and benefits as well as employee discount programs through the application for easier access for on the go employees. This will help employees who may are purchasing a new car and need to quickly print out paystubs or need to access medical insurance card at a doctor’s appointment in the case they lost or forgot their insurance card in the car or at home. There will also be tons of other features on the app for employees (i.e. request time off) and managers as well which will be discussed in the term paper.

This will provide the company with the following:

a) Expand scope and quality of services provided.

b) Help the company stay on top of the “IT” game with other companies and this can be global as well for all employees across the world. We will offer it in different languages as well because we have a diverse employee database.

c) Improved Employee Satisfaction by providing employees with access to employee records on the go.
