1.0 Introduction

Both the staffs and students are concerned about the performance of internet connection at all departments in Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL). Although the internet works at all departments of the university, but the problem was highlighted to be a slow-internet speed which needs early solution, as it is known that high-speed internet is needed by staffs to carry out their daily tasks and it is also needed by all students to do research for their coursework and assignments which will help students to widen their knowledge and improve their grades. We were directed by our lecturer to conduct decision making process in order to identify the problems and possible solutions as to staffs and students’ view. In order to tackle the problem at the initial stage, a meeting was held in July 4 2015, while the decision making process was conducted. We put all necessary information gathered from the interview conducted and the questioners issued to staff and students together, the process took us six days, and it was completed in July 11 2015. Besides problem identification and solution as to staff and students’ view, the process also aimed at assuring the concerned staffs and students of the university that there will be a solution to the problem as soon as possible. The participants in the decision making process were some students and few staffs of the University.

1.1 Purpose of Study

The primary objective of this report is to list, analyse, evaluate and decide on possible solutions to the problem of slow internet surfing on IUKL campus. The secondary objective was to identify the major factors that limit internet surfing on IUKL Campus. The finding from the decision making process with the information file from the research would assist us in achieving the objective.
