1. As reflected in the table above the developmental status between Guatemala and Grenada are relatively different. Although Guatemala has experienced an average growth of 9.39% in GDP, over the last 10 years, the country is still considered a “Lower middle-Income country” due to its Gross National Income of $3,340. Where even though, Grenada has only experienced a 3.41% average growth rate over the last 10 years, it is classified as an “upper middle-income country” due to its $7,460 GNI.

2. The difference between Gross National Product (GDP) in U.S. dollars and GDP at Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) is Gross National Product in U.S. dollars compares the value of all final goods and services produced in an economy in a given year. GDP using PPP is the number of units of a foreign currency required to purchase the same amount of goods and services at current prices in the United States.
