Introduction
In this report, it will show the legal process for filing a discrimination complaint against an employer. Based on the information obtained from the University of Phoenix Week One Overview (2008), the scenario involves an employee named, John, who is employed by a private sector organization, and wishes to file a discrimination complaint against his employer.
First of all, analyzes and explanation of the entire discrimination complaint, and civil litigation process as it would apply to John and his employer will be presented.
Secondly, a detailed explanation of how a discrimination complaint begins, with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and proceeds through the civil litigation process from the state level up to the United States Supreme Court.
Lastly to be discussed, are other relevant aspects addressing discrimination complaints and disputes in the workplace.
Once a compilation of data is obtained and researched, one might be able to benefit should her or she, at some point in life, experience discrimination in his or her workplace.

The entire discrimination complaint begins with an employee of a private sector company, who feels he has been discriminated against. Even though the information is limited as it relates to the type of discrimination; a complaint can still be filed by the employee.
In order for one to be able to explain the civil litigation process, it would be beneficial to first define the litigation.
