Characteristics of Orientalism, Prejudice, and Discrimination
When I first read over this assignment, it intrigued me because I do not really know the difference between these two races either. So I got to ask myself the same question, what is the difference between Muslims and Arabs?
So here is what I came to find out, that Arabs are people who live in the Arabian land and they are their own people. Arabs also include people such as: Muslims, Christians and Jews and the Arabian land usually contains the history of most of these religions.
Muslims on the other hand are the followers of Islam, and most of them actually live in or around the Arabian land. Even the prophet Mohammed was Arabian and other people such as Jesus, Moses, and many other prophets, who the Koran talked about. There are also plenty of Muslims all over the world as well.
When asked if there have been any changes made to the policies concerning the treatment of these people, I don’t really think things have really changed. I am sure there are plenty of Americans who would like to stop this, but quite frankly, there will still be people who think in their own way and beliefs.
Orientalism is pretty much the study of the Near and Far Eastern societies and cultures,...
