Right to Die: Euthanasia

My project was on the right to die through euthanasia. My role for this project was to do every portion. I decided to work by myself to ensure that everything was done and done with an excellent spirit. I choose right to die because of working in hospice and seeing so many people suffer from terminal illness or diseases. Within the project I will discuss what euthanasia means and how it is done. Why is it useful or not? Why does the Supreme Court have issues with it or not? I researched the cases, put together the PowerPoint and found all the films associated with it.

Throughout this process my views remained the same. Why should we play God and decide when it is our time to die. I fully understand the suffering you endure when you are sick in your body and mind. I have seen people go from big meaty people to nothing but done and skin due to the fact they are unable to eat or keep anything down. This is a process that most terminal diseases have on your body. I did learn that so many people actually support euthanasia as well as some states. I was unaware the Oregon passed the death with dignity act that helps and supports euthanasia. I did not realize that Dr. Kevorkian assisted in so many deaths within the state of Michigan. I cannot imagine what would make someone to go against your oath of a doctor to do a patient no harm and assist. There are differences of what is considered physician assisted suicide and natural causes. Removing a tube for your own benefit or patients benefit and they die, then that is considered as euthanasia. On the other hand if the patient was doing well or showing goods sign then the tube is removed and the patient passes hours later then that is considered as natural causes.
