Effective communication and collaboration strategies

There are many different ways in which people communicate in there day to day living. Effective communication is vital to any group or organization that wishes to facilitate organizational success. When all members of a team, department, or organization are able to communicate effectively with each other and with people outside their group, they are much more likely to perform well. The successful manager, therefore, needs effective communication skills (cite). This paper will identify three different learning styles and develop a strategy to communicate and collaborate effectively within group settings

Bodily-Kinesthetic

I think that I am a bodily-kinesthetic learner due to the fact that I like demonstrations and I like to physically repeat the demonstrations. Direct involvement and repetitions allow me to visualize the completed project. Douglas (2006) stated "People with bodily kinesthetic intelligence like to work with their hands, using not only their brainpower but also their physical skills for practical applications of complex theories,"

Bodily-Kinesthetic Communication Strategy

The communication strategy for bodily-kinesthetic is that the group will be able to visually see the required task being performed. Team will also have a chance to actually physically perform each step which will aide in the comprehension process. This will serve as a basis for an elementary block of instruction for all learning types.

Intrapersonal

The second learning style that would best describe me is the Intrapersonal learning style. In some respects, I feel that I am a very independent and I usually like to take time out to think things through and ponder a logical solution before dealing with anyone. Once I have thought things...
