Kudler Fine Foods Problem Statement and End Vision

After reviewing the Strategic Plan for Kudler Fine Foods, there were several issues that I was able to locate. The issues that were identified were the lack of delegation by Kathy Kudler, the owner and President of the company, the perishable foods that they stock needing to be constantly removed and restocked, and the growth rate for expansion of future stores. I will focus on the Human Resource management issues that Kudler Fine Foods face. Kathy Kudler needs to hire and delegate more of the responsibility for the running of the stores to the store and assistant managers.

Currently Kathy handles all of the Human Resource functions including all hiring, termination, payroll, documentation and all other aspects of the human resource functions. Since she is solely responsible for all of these functions, this limits the amount of time that she is able to interact with her customers and also to be able to take time off from work. Kathy is currently working 7 days a week, which is not only unhealthy for her, it can cause her to burn out very quickly in respect to what she is doing. Kathy needs to be able to delegate some of the responsibilities for the running of the store to her store managers that she has in place.

Kathy needs to train her store managers on the exact way that she wants to have each store location handled. She needs to show each of them how she wants all ordering, all hiring, all terminations, all payroll functions, and all other aspects of running the store. She needs to delegate the responsibilities to her store managers, this is the reason that she has hired them and she needs to utilize them in a much better way than she currently does.

This will help Kathy twofold in that it will free up a lot of her time to be able to go back and interact with the customers which is what she enjoys the...
