What types of power is she using? What influencing tactics is Helen using during the meeting? Are negotiations and exchange tactics appropriate in this situation? Include in your Discussion sources of power and influencing tactics that relate to this case study.

Helen has position power. During the meeting she is using legitimizing and consultation-influencing tactics for her thoughts are strong that there should be a policy in place. However, she does not know what policy would be the most effective given the situation. She is seeking feedback from her fellow peers as a means to gathering and filtering the necessary information to make an informal decision (Lussier, R. et al (2015)). Negotiation and exchange tactics would and should be utilized in order to create an effective approach were the people evolved outline a definitive planning schedule in order to make the policy peer-derived and agreed upon. This will allow those involved to give voice to their concerns, recommendations, and pinpoint communication breakdowns previously encountered with no solutions applied (Mead, N. et al (2012)).

The sources of power that would relate to this case are:

* Helen need to improve upon her expert and referent power by developing her people skills.

* She needs to increase here rational persuasion tactic in to inform her peers about why the policy needs to be created and implemented as well as what cost/benefits would come from the implementation of the policy.
