7. Give examples of both high and low self-efficacy. (pgs. 125-128)

High self-efficacy- Juror#8 displayed this by being the first and only not guilty vote during the first open vote that was conducted. He ability to not be persuaded by the other jurors that immediately confronted him on why he would not see things as everyone else easily saw. He instituted active listening and rationalization of his beliefs against each and every other juror member that spoke up against him in a confrontational manner.

Low elf-efficacy- Juror #1 displayed this when he turned his back on the other jury members and said “Boy I don’t care what you do”. Furthermore, his behavior was increased with the rolling of his eyes and slumping in his chair demonstrating that his belief was the task of the jury would never be completed.

8. What behaviors indicated the presence of each of the Big Five personality dimensions? (pgs. 119-123)

Extraversion- Juror#7 he initiates conversation with several other jurors as soon as they got in the room. He also was the first to speak up to the foreman and said “Hey Mr. Foreman lets het going”.

Agreeableness- Juror#2 shook his head yes when juror#2 approached him at the beginning of the movie saying he would just slapped the cuffs on the kid.

Conscientiousness- when juror #7 said I will change my mind to get out of here juror 11 says you need to know why you are changing your mind. We have a duty to vote correctly and fairly.

Emotional Stability- juror#8 uses a calm and logical approach when juror#3 jumps up and yells at him.

Openness to experience- juror #12 displayed this when juror #5 demostrated the switch blade use, he begins to reexamine his stance by saying he just doesn’t know.
