Question 1 (3 points)

What is your experience with the Visio software? Have you used it before or is it your first experience with Visio?

Personally, I have been using Visio on and off for about 2 years. I used it once with a previous Cisco course and then played around with it over the Summer to figure it out on my own. I have some experience with it, but the experience I have is not very extensive. I have made a few diagrams, some for labs, others for course projects, and one for my network setup at home. In a way, I feel more comfortable drawing out my diagrams at home the old fashioned way, but I don’t always use the proper symbols, so it takes a little practice. Visio is nice because generally, all you have to do is roll your mouse over to find what the symbol is supposed to be.

Question 2 (3 points)

How did you access Visio? How do you feel about the different access methods?

I had Visio on my computer, but I lost the copy I had from the Student Software Store when my hard drive quit working this past year. I still need to recover my download and registration key in the Software Store. For now, I have been relying on Citrix for the applications I need. I’m pretty open to the different ways to access the application. In fact, there is a Citrix plugin for my tablet that allows me to work on my courses when I’m out doing errands or getting lunch.

Question 3 (3 points)

What version of Visio did you use for this lab?

Microsoft Visio 2010 (Citrix Lab Environment)

Question 4 (3 points)

What file extension does your version of Visio use? Does Visio support other extensions?

Default Visio extentions (VSD, VSS, and VST), as well as XML, AutoCAD, HTML, GIF, JPG, PDF, XPS, PNG, BMP, TIF, and WMF.
