Working Together

Team is created when group of people come together to achieve a goal that is assigned or accomplish a project that is assigned through class. According to Dictionary.com (January 17, 2011), Team is as a number of persons associated in some joint action. Team composes of individuals of various backgrounds and experiences. These backgrounds and experiences form a personality of each member of the team. Each individual’s personality and how the team approaches the subject matter play an important part in success of the team. Not all members of the team must have same personality “however” being able to relate to individuals’ opinions and approach will be critical in conducting successful team meetings. As we look deeper into teamwork, we will able to review how individual’s personality, listening skills and being able to trust in other team member will contribute to success of team work.

Personality and Teamwork

Personalities are an important factor in conducting a successful team work. A webbased article Personality as predictor of teamwork: a business simulator study shows the series of studies that was done by many researchers who showed the direct correlation between personality and how the personality affect the success of teamwork. This article also provides important information that “People high in emotional stability tend to be brave, self-assured, and deliberate.
