Given the need for a new state of the art hotel in Hoboken, our construction company has decided to construct a new hotel called The V. The first stage will be pre-construction which will last for 8 weeks. During the beginning of this stage, we will obtain permits which will take the first three weeks, and file insurance which will take 6 weeks. During the entire breadth of pre-construction, we wll be hiring sub-contractors who will help us build the hotel. Finally, we will finalize the budget which will take the last few weeks of preconstruction. After the groundwork of the project has been laid down, construction startup will begin. In the first week, a portable bathroom is installed. During the entire three week period, power supply installation, temperature water supply installation, and a temporary office will be built. After these two stages are finished, the heavy duty construction of our luxurious hotel will begin with the primary stage occurs which lasts 20 weeks. Excavation takes place during the first four weeks of the period. After excavation is finished, the foundation will be built and this process takes eight weeks. Then, the shell structure, which lasts for eight weeks, is put into place. The shell structure is comprised of shell elements, which are typically curved and are assembled to large structures. After the primary stage, the ten week secondary stage takes place. The first step in this phase is masonry work which takes 7 weeks. Subcasting occurs the fifth week of the stage and lasts four weeks. Plumbing begins at the beginning of the stage and lasts 10 weeks, rough wiring takes the first nine weeks, HVAC takes the entire stage and fire protection lasts the last seven weeks of the stage. After the secondary stage, the final stage occurs. The first three weeks plastering is done. Flooring and painting takes all 7 weeks of this stage.
